Who are we?
Hippo Carts is a UK family run manufacturer specialising in film and TV carts, specialising in custom bespoke carts, designed and built in the UK for the demands of working crews.
Founded by Alexander, an experienced design engineer, Hippo Carts was created to fill a clear gap in the UK market: production teams needed high quality, heavy duty equipment carts without the inflated prices of large international brands. Today, we design and manufacture durable, practical, and affordable production carts in the UK, trusted by professionals across film, television, and commercial shoots.
Our ethos is simple, build what crews actually need. We specialise in bespoke carts designed around real on set challenges faced by industry professionals today. We don’t mass produce generic solutions; every standard cart in our range started as a bespoke idea created to solve a genuine on set problem.

Alex creates bespoke carts because no two crews,or productions, work the same way. After seeing first hand how inefficient setups can slow down busy sets, he uses his skills in CAD, engineering, and fabrication to design practical carts built around real industry needs. Every bespoke build is created to solve genuine on set problems, helping crews work smarter, faster, and more efficiently..
